So if you are a business that relies on getting customers in your local area then you are going to want to learn about and get involved in a new direct mail program (well it’s been around for about a year) offered by the post office called Every Door Direct Mail.
What it is is an inexpensive way to advertise using direct mail.
In the past to send out mail advertisements you had to print, purchase a mailing list, inkjet address every mail piece, and use a special mailing permit. By needing all these steps it was a fairly expensive way to advertise for a small local business, but not any longer.
With Every Door Direct, now all that needs to be done is get your mail piece printed and by using the Post Office’s online tool, you choose what routes you want to mail to based on zip code or radius, and fill out some easy paper work and simple drop them off at your local Post Office.
You don’t need to buy a list, you don’t need to inkjet every piece, and you don’t need a special permit. It saves tons of money and makes one of the most effective ways to advertise affordable for a small business.
You are also not restricted to smaller size postcards either, you can create a big, beautiful mail pice that will stand out in any mailbox and the postage is just a cheap flat rate of 16 cents per piece.
I would recommend using a printing company that specializes in Every Door Direct Mail though just so you know that the mail will go out correctly and within regulations, to be safe and eliminate any problems.

So I had recently discovered squidoo. Not sure if you know about it but it’s a pretty cool blog site that has been around for a few years and it allows you to write lenses on different topics. So I figured I would try my hand at it and created a post giving some advice on Wedding Invitations Wording. If you get a chance it would be great if you could check it out and maybe give it some likes. I’ll probably create other lenses related to printing and Wedding Invitations as well and hopefully it will be advice that people can use.
I think that the information I can give as far as wedding invitations are concerned could be pretty helpful to brides and grooms to be (mostly the brides ) to give them some guidelines, suggestions, and ideas as far as their Wedding Invitation preparation, planning and ordering. It’s probably more conducive to the web as opposed to our business printing side of JBS. I think people are more actively seeking information on their Wedding Invitations than they are searching for information on say business cards.
At any rate have a look at my Wedding advice lens and feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think.
